IP Lookup — What Is My IP Address?

See your public IP and look up any IPv4, IPv6 address or domain.

Your IP address: 216.73.216.59

Geolocation data by DB-IP (CC BY 4.0).

What this IP lookup tool does

This page shows your current public IP address as seen from our server and lets you look up any other IPv4 address, IPv6 address or domain name. Results include an approximate city-level location on a map, country and region, ISP or hosting provider (ASN), timezone with local time, and hints when the address belongs to a CDN, datacenter or Tor-related network.

Lookups run entirely on our server using monthly DB-IP Lite City and ASN databases (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0). We do not send your queries to third-party geo-IP APIs.

How to use it

  1. Open the page — your public IP is detected automatically (we read CF-Connecting-IP and X-Forwarded-For safely when present).
  2. To check another target, type an IP (for example 8.8.8.8 or 2001:4860:4860::8888) or a domain (for example example.com) and click Look up.
  3. Domains are resolved to A or AAAA records; the first usable address is geolocated.
  4. Use the map to see the approximate coordinates returned by the database (not GPS precision).

Understanding the results

  • Location is based on IP routing and registration data, not your exact street address. Mobile and VPN users may appear far from where they sit.
  • ISP / ASN identifies the network that announced the IP block.
  • Network type labels (CDN, datacenter, Tor) are heuristic hints from ASN organization names — they are not a guarantee of abuse or anonymity.
  • Local time uses the timezone from the database when available, otherwise a coarse country default.

Frequently asked questions

What is my IP address?

Your public IP is the address websites and online services see when you connect. It is assigned by your ISP or mobile carrier and may change over time.

Is IPv6 supported?

Yes. You can paste full IPv6 addresses and look up domains that resolve to AAAA records.

Why is the location wrong?

Geo-IP is approximate. Corporate VPNs, cloud proxies and mobile gateways often place you in another city or country.

Do you store my lookups?

We do not build a searchable history of addresses you query. Standard server logs may still record requests for security and operations.

Where does the data come from?

City and ASN records come from DB-IP Lite MMDB files updated monthly on our server. The map uses OpenFreeMap (OpenMapTiles / OpenStreetMap data; see attribution on the map).
